Job Description
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Owning and evolving Canva Indonesia's social strategy to drive fame, cultural relevance, and talkability across key platforms
- Developing and executing a data-driven content calendar, creating high-performing video, static, and copy content tailored for Indonesian audiences
- Building and nurturing a loyal Canva fan base — driving engagement, conversation, and turning users into active brand advocates
- Leading influencer and KOL strategy, from identifying the right creators to co-creating content and evaluating campaign performance
- Partnering with local and global marketing teams to localise brand campaigns, education initiatives, and tentpole moments for the Indonesian market
- Tracking and reporting on social performance metrics, using insights to continuously optimise content formats and scale what's working
You're probably a match if
- You have a deep understanding of the Indonesian social and creator landscape — you know what resonates, what's trending, and what falls flat
- You're equally at home analysing a performance dashboard as you are filming a reel or writing a caption
- You've built or grown online communities before and know how to turn passive followers into genuine fans
- You're comfortable being on-camera and can show up authentically as a content creator when the moment calls for it
- You move fast, adapt quickly, and can spot a cultural moment worth jumping on before it's gone
- You've worked with influencers or KOLs and understand how to build partnerships that feel platform-native, not forced
About the team
You'll be joining the Indonesia Marketing team, part of Canva's broader Southeast Asia expansion. The team is on the ground driving Canva's growth across one of the world's most dynamic and fast-moving digital markets. This is a rare opportunity to shape how one of the world's most-loved design tools shows up — and takes off — in Indonesia.
