- Learn Arcavindi’s site layout, cleaning schedules, and hygiene standards.
- Get trained on food hygiene HACCP, safe cleaning practices, food handling, and waste disposal procedures.
- Understand kitchen routines, storage rules, and food hygiene expectations.
- Work alongside experienced colleagues to build confidence in daily tasks and priorities.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality lunches for our team members.
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations through reliable prep, cleaning, and stock routines.
- Maintain essential food safety records such as recording temperatures, ingredient and allergen information.
- Spot issues early from low supplies to hygiene or safety risks — and flag them quickly.
- Build strong working relationships with teams across the building, providing friendly, helpful support.
- Provide some support to the cleaning team to ensure all common areas are consistently clean and hygienic
- Look for smarter, more efficient ways to keep the site running brilliantly.
- Suggest improvements to food preparation methods and look for ways to decrease food wastage
- Help maintain a calm, organised environment where teams feel cared for and supported.
- Maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene across Arcavindi’s Netherlands facilities.
- Ensure communal spaces are clean, safe, well-stocked, and ready for use throughout the day.
- Contribute to a positive, organised environment that enables teams to work at their best.
- Support the kitchen with daily routines and basic food preparation as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning of workspaces, communal areas, restrooms, and kitchen facilities to agreed standards.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards of the kitchen and break areas
- Maintain tidy storage areas for cleaning materials and kitchen supplies, keeping everything secure and organised.
- Carry out basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces are cleaned and sanitised in line with food safety standards.
- Operate dishwashers and/or wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen items manually when needed.
- Receive, check, and store kitchen or facilities deliveries safely, ensuring correct stock rotation.
- Dispose of waste correctly, including recycling and food waste, following site procedures.
- Report hazards, hygiene concerns, or maintenance issues promptly to the Facilities Manager.
- Previous experience in a cleaning, kitchen, or facilities support role (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-focused, with pride in doing things properly.
- Friendly, approachable attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Comfortable in a physically active role involving standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
