Overview

Are you passionate about driving revenue growth and leading commercial teams to success? Join our team as the Vice President of Commercial Services In this key leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of resort revenue, from rooms to food and beverage, spa services, beach and pool offerings, and more. Your strategic vision and mentorship will guide our sales, marketing, revenue, and catering teams to new heights of success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Leadership: Spearhead the pursuit and achievement of all resort revenues. Collaborate with property teams to ensure proactive sales efforts are in place for enhanced revenue.
  • Team Development: Mentor and train the leadership team on essential revenue acquisition and management strategies. Work closely with discipline leads on commercial sales initiatives.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Engage with Marriott Global and Account Sales Organizations to secure preferred leads and business opportunities.
  • Business Development: Identify new and emerging accounts, markets, and verticals. Facilitate introductions and develop effective tactics to acquire and retain business.
  • Site Experience Design: Collaborate with the property team to create best-in-class site experiences that drive business conversion. Follow up and analyze event execution to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in preparing property budgets and ensure they meet projected goals. Monitor departmental expenses and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Managing Director and SVP of Sales and Revenue for Resorts in communication with property asset management, ownership, and Davidson regional and corporate leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a senior commercial role, with experience in managing multiple revenue streams within the hospitality industry.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement long-range strategic plans for total hotel revenue, working with various stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in monitoring revenue, expenses, and forecasting, with a knack for identifying opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Mentorship: Passion for training and developing teams to achieve their full potential.

Qualifications

Qualifications - 
• Prior experience in Brand management with Marriott International (this position specific)
• Prior experience in Franchise and Owner relations management
• Prior experience in leadership of a complex sales organization
• Prior leadership experience in managing offshore resorts.
Qualifications – General
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of Sales director/leadership experience required.
• Strong understanding and ability to communicate among all levels of the organization from
entry level to senior leadership.
• Experience with brand and independent sales revenue and operating systems and tools.
• Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience managing multiple tasks and prioritizing duties.
• Experience identifying obstacles and creating solutions to complex problems.
• Must meet all Davidson Hotels & Resorts employment qualifications in force at time of
hiring, including successful passing of pre-employment drug test and criminal background
check.
