VCA Canada Northdale Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a part-time dependable and caring Reception, Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments
Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents and patients
Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients
General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Compassionate and nurturing attitude
Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate considered an asset
