Join us as a Field Superintendent - Modernization Your main responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for managing field technicians in the day-to-day operations of elevator modernization projects, including hydraulic, gearless, and geared equipment. This role also includes active participation in field surveys for prospective modernization projects, as well as supporting the preparation of modernization proposals and bids. The individual must be able to define project scope, determine manpower requirements, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. A strong understanding of elevator equipment and parts is required, including the ability to identify and order the appropriate components for each project. Additional responsibilities include: Build a strong team environment by leading and supporting field technicians Manage the training and development of technicians on established processes, tools, and standards Foster clear communication across the team while maintaining strong working relationships with the local union Ensure all modernization projects meet company quality and safety standards, as well as contract requirements Monitor project progress and drive efficiency in execution Implement customer and company requirements related to quality, performance reliability, and passenger safety Support the sales team in estimating modernization bids and assist with investigating and resolving customer concerns Promote a culture of teamwork and commitment to quality across the workforce Participate in company professional development programs to strengthen knowledge of products, services, and processes What you bring • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field. • Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred. • Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred. • Computer proficiency required. Experience in Microsoft Office suite software, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred. • Must have ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. Base Salary $113,400 - $141,700 The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives. What’s in it for you?
