The Electrical Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, stable, and continuous factory operations. Key Responsibilities & Job Content
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems according to approved maintenance plans.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical failures to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain and repair motors, control panels, sensors and power distribution systems.
Electrical Systems & Equipment
Ensure proper operation of electrical systems, machines, and utilities.
Support installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment.
Monitor electrical parameters and identify potential risks or abnormalities.
Automation & Control Support
Support basic PLC troubleshooting and fault identification.
Assist in maintaining automation systems, sensors, and control devices.
Coordinate with automation engineers or external vendors when required.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Strictly comply with electrical safety rules, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and company SHE procedures.
Identify and report electrical hazards, unsafe conditions, or near-miss incidents.
Ensure all electrical work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
Record maintenance activities, electrical failures, and spare parts usage accurately.
Update maintenance logs, checklists, and work orders in the maintenance system.
Support internal and external audits related to maintenance and safety.
Continuous Improvement
Propose improvements to enhance electrical system reliability and energy efficiency.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions.
Collaborate with Mechanical, Production, and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
Authority
Stop equipment operation when serious electrical or safety risks are identified.
Recommend electrical improvements and spare parts requirements.
