Objective

This position will lead our internal enterprise training strategy while building and managing our external technical HVAC training program as a profitable business unit. This role combines strategic learning and development leadership with entrepreneurial P&L management, requiring expertise in instructional design, expert-level skills in training delivery and facilitation, team leadership, and business operations. The successful candidate will drive organizational learning excellence, ensure exceptional customer experience, and build a high-performing training organization that generates revenue while maximizing return on learning investments across our multi-state enterprise.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

  • Oversee design of highly technical, product specific, soft-skills, and leadership development training content (online, virtual and in-person) for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience and satisfaction by creating comprehensive training materials, assessment tools, and certification exams across multiple delivery formats.
  • Develop and manage CE’s external customer-facing technical HVAC training platform as a standalone profit center with full P&L accountability, including pricing structures, revenue, and expense tracking.
  • Monitor profitability metrics and budget allocation to meet annual revenue targets and margin objectives for the external customer-facing training programs.
  • Direct the training function across the entire organization, collaborating on company-wide training strategy from creation through execution to include delivery and measuring training effectiveness.
  • Lead curriculum development and instructional design using industry best practices, establishing KPIs, implementing continuous improvement processes, and ensuring consistent training support across a multi-state environment.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team by hiring and managing managers, facilitators, LMS platform administrators, and curriculum developers, setting performance standards, providing professional development, managing training projects end-to-end, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain outstanding learning programs aligned with organizational expectations.
  • Maintain and grow current catalog offerings to include new associate onboarding programs, safety, product and system knowledge and leadership development.

 

Qualifications

 

 

The ideal candidate will be a proven leader who demonstrates flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work well in a matrixed environment. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships within business units and functional areas and identify trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the learning and development capabilities. The ideal candidate will also have strong facilitation skills including the ability to quickly gain credibility with learners.

 

 

Requirements

  Bachelor’s degree -Master’s preferred

 3+ years’ experience in a national/global role leading design and delivery of learning strategies and 5 years' experience as a Training Manager in a corporate environment.
