We’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to help design, build, and scale the next generation of automation systems in Controlled Environment Agriculture. You’ll work hands-on with complex electrical systems — from concept to deployment — and play a key role in making our technology safe, reliable, and scalable.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with experts across software, mechanics, electronics and robotics. You’ll take ownership of electrical designs and ensure seamless integration within our robotic platforms.
You report to the Head of Engineering and will be instrumental in both detailed design and system-level thinking.
Your role includes the following responsibilities:
Designing Robust Electrical Systems
• Select and specify electrical components for scalable system designs
• Design electrical schematics and wiring harnesses using EPLAN
• Build prototypes and validate wiring in real-world setups
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure scalability
Ensuring Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards across the EU, US, and Canada
• Integrate safety principles into system design from the ground up
• Contribute to functional safety concepts and validation
Managing Documentation & Quality
• Maintain accurate design documentation (BOMs, schematics, timelines)
• Track version history and document engineering changes
• Conduct QA testing to ensure system functionality and safety
• Report findings and communicate results to stakeholders
Collaborating Across Disciplines
• Work closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and system architects
• Ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into broader platforms
