The K-Camp Kittatinny Driver is responsible for transporting guests and equipment safely to and from the Activities locations while also providing exceptional customer service. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Operations Manager.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

 
  • Drives 12 and 15 passenger vans, 35 passenger bus; pulls up to 26-foot trailer, loaded or unloaded; maneuver in tight spaces, dirt roads, highways and in various road conditions.

  • Performs daily CDL, vehicle safety and maintenance checks on vehicles/trailers: Checks/Fills fuel, oil, tires, lights, trailer connections, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, reflective triangles, etc. 

  • Keeps a daily log of mileage and vehicle inspections, reports submitted daily

  • Helps load/unload and secure boats and equipment (paddles, life vests, equipment) 

  • Clean interior and exterior of vehicles/trailers daily or as needed (wash windows, remove trash, sweep) 

  • Reports needed repairs and parts to Operations Manager or Manager-On-Duty. 

  • Completes repairs when possible. 

  • Familiar with local access roads, alternate routes and all locations and properties of Kittatinny.

  • Maintains a clean, neat personal appearance. 

  • Maintains a cooperative attitude and communicates well with co-workers and guests.

  • Assists in maintaining grounds and the cleanliness of all river bases, locations and vehicles.

  • Provides trip/safety information and instructions to guests

  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

 
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with passenger endorsement, required

  • Possess a valid DOT Medical Card as required by law associated with CDL

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Complete and pass a mandatory drug screening.

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management 
 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

 
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position

  • Regularly move throughout the park

  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl

  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.

  • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions

Pay Range: $15 - $16 per hour
