
Team Leader Marketing
Job Description
The Marketing Team Leader is responsible for leading and supporting the marketing team in developing and executing initiatives that drive qualified customer traffic, generate leads, and increase business opportunities. This role oversees marketing campaigns, partnerships, promotional activities, and lead-generation programs while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Marketing Team Leader works closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and external partners to maximize marketing effectiveness, achieve targets, and enhance customer engagement. The role also includes coaching, developing, and managing the performance of the marketing team.
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS
Marketing Strategy & Lead Generation
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to drive customer traffic, lead generation, and business growth.
- Identify and build strategic relationships with external partners, referral sources, brokers, and other channels to generate qualified leads.
- Contribute to the development, review, and execution of marketing campaigns across various platforms, including digital, social media, print, events, promotions, and in-house activities.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Analyze campaign performance, lead conversion rates, and marketing ROI, providing recommendations to optimize future initiatives.
- Ensure all marketing activities align with company objectives, brand standards, and budget requirements.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other internal departments.
- Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to ensure marketing programs effectively support sales objectives and customer acquisition goals.
- Develop and manage partnerships with external vendors, agencies, hotels, resort operations, and business partners where applicable.
- Address operational and marketing-related challenges through effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and manage the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, performance expectations, and business updates.
- Monitor team performance against agreed KPIs and targets, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development opportunities for team members.
- Identify individual strengths and development areas through observation, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of marketing associates.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, including off-site or on-call assistance when required.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and high-performance team culture.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Develop, review, and implement marketing policies, procedures, and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, brand guidelines, and applicable regulations.
- Manage recognition, reward, and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and campaign effectiveness.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marketing, lead generation, hospitality, tourism, or related industries.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
