What You Will Do
In this role, you will supervise daily activities in the assembly shop, set clear priorities and expectations, and coordinate with other leaders to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality maintenance equipment and machinery. You will plan and prioritize work to align with organizational goals, hold yourself and others accountable to commitments, and foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment where technicians are empowered to solve complex problems creatively. By providing continuous coaching, feedback, and development opportunities, you will inspire individual and business success and help sustain a service-minded culture that keeps our Guests safe and at the center of everything we do.
Supervise daily activities of assembly and ride vehicle maintenance teams, set priorities and deadlines, and coordinate with other supervisors to ensure safe and efficient operations in the shop and on equipment.
Lead and mentor a team of hourly maintenance technicians, providing clear expectations, ongoing coaching, and regular feedback to drive high performance and support career growth.
Plan, prioritize, and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance for assembly maintenance, manufacturing equipment, and ride vehicle systems to maximize uptime and reliability.
Oversee disassembly of equipment, replacement of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components, and reassembly and testing to verify safe and proper operation of specialized equipment.
Guide the team in performing root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and modification of equipment and systems to resolve issues, maintain up time, and improve efficiency and reliability.
Ensure accurate use of Maximo or other systems to document work performed, repairs, and rebuilds on production and facility machinery and equipment.
Collaborate across disciplines and departments to solve day-to-day problems, encourage knowledge sharing, and build strong partnerships that support safe, reliable operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Five years or more of experience in a maintenance-related field within industrial, plant, manufacturing, theme park, or transportation maintenance environments.
Three or more years management or formal leadership experience supervising maintenance or technical teams.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment.
Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and subassemblies used in assembly, ride vehicles, and facility equipment.
Demonstrated ability to supervise hourly maintenance technicians and coordinate work across multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in root cause analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and implementing modifications to improve reliability and efficiency.
Experience using computerized or manual maintenance information systems to document work orders, repairs, and equipment history.
Collaborative, team-oriented leadership style with strong mentoring, coaching, and communication skills.
Ability to balance time effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and remain service-minded and customer-focused in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort working in active, physically demanding environments, including on and around production and facility machinery.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with financial management and budgeting for maintenance operations.
Familiarity with SAP and maintenance reporting or scheduling systems such as Maximo.
Background in environments that support theme parks, resorts, cruise, vacation, or travel.
Proven ability to lead creative, innovative, and detail-oriented teams in a customer-focused, service-minded setting.
Advanced degree or additional coursework in Engineering Management, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
Experience leading maintenance teams in assembly, manufacturing, or ride vehicle environments, with responsibility for uptime, reliability, and safety.
Education
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $91,000 to $121,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
