Your work environment: We are looking to recruit a Financial Controller Analyst, reporting to the Plant Controller, based in Saarlouis (Germany). This is a plant producing Aluminium Beverage cans and Ends, working 24/7.

Your mission in Crown:
• Ensure strong internal controls framework is in place and compliance to internal policies;
• Control, alert and implement corrective actions in case of identified financial issues.
• Liaise with European Shared Service Centre (SSC) to ensure all costs are properly posted or accrued and coordinate with other departments accordingly.
• Prepare and post accounting entries in SAP S/4 HANA in line with Crown policies and local regulations.
• Liaise with SSC to ensure credit limits are respected and payments and overdues are properly followed up.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and analyse variance against standard manufacturing costs.
• Guarantee the accuracy of COGS data
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and reporting using OneStream tools.
• Liaise with the Commercial Team and Commercial Controller on sales prices, contracts, rebate accruals and LME reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain documentation for control testing.
• Execute month-end closing activities under the supervision of the finance team.
• Review and execute housekeeping activities on balance sheet accounts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, including automation initiatives.
About you:
Essential
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance or audit within a commercial or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial control processes.
• Hands-on experience in finance functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel and data handling skills
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel; fluent in German and good command of English.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proactive mindset to problem solving and process improvement
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and responsibilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
Desirable
• Post-graduate qualification (MSc, MBA) in Finance, accounting or auditing.
• Member or part-qualified in a recognised accounting body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent experience
• Experience in a multinational or shared service environment.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX compliance frameworks and OneStream reporting tools.
• Additional European language.
