THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an excellent opportunity for a Matflo Support Engineer to join our Global Product & Solutions team, working onsite at a key client location in Moorebank.
This dynamic, hands-on role, will position you at the forefront of supporting real-time automation and warehouse control systems within a live operational environment. As a trusted technical specialist, you’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure systems run smoothly during integration, commissioning, and ongoing life support.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with real-world impact, troubleshooting complex systems, optimising performance, and delivering high-quality software solutions in real time. WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
Develop, maintain, and support software for real-time automation and warehouse control systems
Deploy and commission solutions onsite, ensuring successful system implementation
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in live operational environments
Integrate system interfaces using protocols such as Dematic DCI or similar technologies
Configure and support WMS/WxS systems aligned to operational requirements
Use Linux (Red Hat) commands for monitoring, diagnostics, and configuration
Execute SQL queries to analyse data and support system functionality
Collaborate with engineering, project, and customer teams to deliver successful
Participate in system testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Train end users with Dematic application workflows
Provide customer support
Help create an empowering and inspiring work culture within the team
Promote Health and Safety culture whilst working on and off-site
Tasks and Qualifications:
ABOUT YOU
You are a technically capable and adaptable engineer who thrives in an onsite, customer-facing environment
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Experience with real-time automated systems or warehouse environments
Experience in various equipment interface protocols
Knowledge of WMS/WCS platforms
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux Commands
Good technical skills and ability to learn new applications quickly
Programming Languages: Python, Shell scripting, or C on Linux
Experience with testing tools such as JIRA or TestRail
Ability to work independently at a client site while collaborating with remote teams
Strong attention to detail with a focus on software quality and reliability
A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Flexibility to travel when required for project support
