Job Overview

The Eligibility Specialist III is responsible for entering, reviewing, accepting, scrubbing, and correcting encounters in the EPIC Practice Management System. This role requires entering patients’ demographic, insurance verification, reverification, and correcting health plan coverages as needed, and compiling patient encounter data materials. This role also includes assisting patients with coverage lapses and creating reports for internal and external customers.

Minimum Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a clerical environment is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ Customer Service experience required and preferably in a clinical environment.

  • Experience in validating eligibility with healthcare plans is required.

Compensation

$25.86 - $32.32 hourly
