Position Summary: 

The Director of Supply Chain RFM provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will manage comprehensive end-to-end supply chain functions, encompassing global procurement, demand planning, inventory optimization, and site-level material management. We are seeking a visionary leader to develop scalable processes, drive cost efficiencies, and guarantee material availability in alignment with production timelines and customer requirements.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience managing multiple manufacturing locations. 
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams across multiple locations or supporting multi-site operations.
  • Software: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (such as Visual, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, MRP/ERP systems, inventory optimization, and demand planning.
  • Direct initiatives for product segmentation and ABC classification to enhance demand forecasting and production scheduling. 
  • Optimize inventory turns and portfolio margins while leveraging cross-functional partnerships to minimize excess stock, strengthen working capital, and foster sustainable business expansion.
  • Demonstrated experience driving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI). Proven ability to develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance management, and risk mitigation in a multisite business environment. 
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost reduction initiatives, and working capital optimization.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights to drive business.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to partner effectively with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Executive Leadership. 
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and standardizing processes across multiple facilities.
  • Certifications: APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or ISM (CPSM) credentials highly preferred.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., semiconductor, aerospace, defense, medical) preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% to visit regional manufacturing facilities and suppliers.

  • Strategic Network Alignment: Coordinate operations across all manufacturing sites to support corporate expansion objectives and establish regional workflows for standardized planning, procurement, and logistics.
  • Operational Performance: Define and monitor KPIs for order precision, inventory turns, and supplier reliability while managing global supply chain budgets and material variances.
  • Planning & Risk Management: Direct S&OP processes to align sales forecasts with plant capacity, standardize ERP/MRP logic across the network, and create mitigation strategies for lead-time and capacity risks.
  • Global Sourcing & Procurement: Lead sourcing strategies to optimize pricing and quality, negotiate master vendor contracts, and evaluate supplier performance through formal business reviews to reduce single-source risks.
  • Inventory & Warehouse Excellence: Oversee comprehensive warehouse functions, implement cycle-counting to maintain 99%+ accuracy, and optimize plant layouts for maximum material velocity and safety.
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain, materials management, and procurement activities to support production schedules, demand requirements, and operational KPIs.
  • Partner with production teams to establish, track, and execute daily and weekly performance goals while accounting for labor, equipment, and capacity constraints.
  • Oversee demand planning and workflow optimization to ensure efficient material flow through production.
  • Manage cost centers and monitor KPIs to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process optimization.
  • Lead all procurement and materials functions, including supplier selection, reduction, evaluation, certification, price negotiation, order placement, and supplier performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control objectives (classification mapping), including min/max setup, inventory accuracy, reduction of excess and obsolete inventory, and optimization of stockroom layout and storage locations.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and ITAR requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Partner with divisional and corporate materials teams to maintain alignment on purchasing processes, supplier management strategies, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Support corporate supply chain initiatives such as common part number strategies, supplier-managed inventory, consolidated purchasing agreements, supplier rationalization, and supplier quality certifications.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports through performance management, goal setting, career development, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate internally with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales, as well as externally with outside sales teams and customers to provide the best customer experience.
  • You will lead by example, trust in your teammates, and use data-driven decision-making to streamline critical processes and eliminate non-value-added activity.

Pay Transparency: 

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000  per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
