Spa Wellness Specialist - The Cape Town EDITION Hotel (Pre-Opening)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spa Wellness Specialist to join our pre-opening team. This role is ideal for a versatile wellness professional who can deliver yoga, fitness instruction and holistic guest experiences in a luxury hotel setting. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming, rejuvenating environment while delivering exceptional service aligned with our brand’s wellness philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct group and private yoga sessions (various styles preferred)
• Lead fitness classes (e.g. strength, conditioning, stretching, functional training)
• Provide basic wellness guidance tailored to guest needs
• Support spa operations including: 
  • Guest consultations
  • Booking assistance
  • Spa reception support when required
• Ensure facilities (gym, studio, spa areas) are clean, safe, and fully operational
• Promote wellness programs and guest engagement activities
• Assist with wellness events and activations
• Maintain high standards of guest service, professionalism, and grooming

Minimum Requirements

• Certified Yoga Instructor
• Certified Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer 
• Advantageous: Additional wellness certifications (Pilates, meditation, breathwork, etc.)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (hotel or wellness environment preferred) 
• Strong knowledge of: Yoga practices and General fitness and conditioning techniques
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• Ability to connect with diverse international guests 
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
