China Hong KongJob Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation of operational risk management in Risk Management Group (RMG) which aligns with the Bank’s Operational Risk Framework.
- Act as the primary contact point for all operational risk and control matters for RMG e.g. operational risk identification, response, monitoring and reporting.
- Conduct thematic/ special reviews on operational controls, including understanding relevant control designs, review scoping, control testing, and communication of findings with reviewee teams.
- Perform deep-dive reviews or investigation into operational risk incidents to identify the root cause(s), provide recommendations to address the control weakness and evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive actions applied.
- Manage and timely follow up with onsite or offsite regulatory review, audit examinations, and questionnaire from credit agencies.
- Act as the risk management function for new product governance for the Bank Group, including develop, review, enhance and perform regular risk assessment, monitoring, reporting and escalation.
- Effectively coordinate with stakeholders to manage the preparation and submission of meeting materials for the Credit & Risk Management Committee Meetings (“CRMC”), New Product Committee (“NPC”) and other board / delegated committee meetings if required.
- Secretariat of the NPC and delegated Committee in coordinating and facilitating products and services that fall under the NPA requirements have been properly assessed and obtain appropriate approval.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry standards and regulation to ensure practices remain effective and relevant.
- Provide ad hoc support as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines;
- Professional qualification e.g. CORP or ACCA preferred.
- Minimum 6 years’ working experience in risk control functions in bank.
- Understand the regulatory requirements and market trends relating to operational risk, BCP, new products governance.
- Knowledge on incident investigation, operational risk scenario analysis, stress testing, ICAAP and related regulations and controls will be an advantage.
- Experience in coordination of Board or risk committees and risk policy formulation is preferred.
- Analytical, problem solving with good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
