1. Demonstrates knowledge and skill of clinical aspects as evidence by: 

1. Accurate and timely completion of ordered splinting and casting of upper extremities. 

1. Accurate/timely completion of ordered splinting and casting of lower extremities. 

1. Accurate and timely completion of ordered cast removal. 

1. Accurate/timely completion of gait training with crutches. 

1. Communication: 

1. Able to verbally communicate with Orthopaedic physician. 

1. Accurately provide patient education for cast care. 

1. Completes required clinic maintenance activities including: 

1. Restocking clinic and cast room. 

1. Maintaining appropriate inventory and ordering of supplies. 

1. Work with manager to maintain monthly supply budget. 

1. Verify that the cast room equipment is functional and available. 

1. Keep cast room clean. 

1. Document required patient information on the clinic record accurately and in a timely manner. 

1. Complies with infection control standards. 

1. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology. 

1. Ability to document in Apex, review records, print AVS, route messages and all other Apex required functions.
