Big Pine Academy is seeking a passionate, student-centered K�5 Elementary Teacher dedicated to fostering academic growth, curiosity, and a positive classroom environment. • Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in core elementary subjects
• Create a warm, engaging, and structured classroom environment
• Use differentiated instruction to support diverse learners
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff
• Integrate hands-on, real-world learning experiences

Maintain accurate records and meet district expectations for communication and reporting

• Eligibility for Florida Educator Certification in:
  • Elementary Education (K�6) or
  • Pre-K/Primary (Age 3�Grade 3)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Ability to pass the required Florida Care Provider Background Screening  

• Salary Range: Starting $62,700, depending on verified teaching experience

Paid Leave: 10 days annually for teachers starting in August

• 196�200 day instructional calendar (varies by assignment)

Standard school hours 7:45 AM � 3:00 PM  

How to Become FL Certified in Elementary Education (Grades K-6):

1. Out-of-State Certification: If you hold an unexpired, out-of-state, professional educator certificate in this subject area, please apply for Florida reciprocity.
2. Elem Ed Major: Commonly accepted bachelor's (or higher degree) majors for a Florida temporary educator certificate include: Elementary Education 1-6, K-6, N/K-6, K-3, K-4, K-8, K-9, and Upper Elementary 4-6.
3. Other Majors: For other degree majors, passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in Elementary Education K�6 is required. Visit the testing website http://www.fl.nesinc.com/tests.asp for further details.
