Job Overview:
The Senior Manager, Transformation Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for driving disciplined execution of strategic initiatives by establishing robust tracking, governance, and accountability mechanisms. This role ensures that transformation efforts are effectively planned, monitored, and delivered with measurable business impact. This position combines hands-on project management with oversight of initiative performance across multiple workstreams. The role requires leading projects from initiation through execution, while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive accountability, manage risks, and ensure alignment to organizational objectives. A background in Industrial Engineering or a related analytical discipline is preferred to support structured problem-solving and process improvement.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Lead tracking, reporting, and governance of transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes
Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and standardized metrics to monitor initiative performance and value delivery
Drive weekly operating cadence, including status reporting, performance reviews, and executive-level updates
Partner with workstream leads and initiative owners to enforce accountability for milestones, deliverables, and results
Facilitate issue resolution by identifying risks, escalating concerns, and coordinating mitigation plans
Independently manage high-priority projects from scoping through execution, including planning, resource alignment, and delivery
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and success criteria; monitor progress against established milestones
Manage interdependencies across initiatives and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
Influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority across business functions
Support development and standardization of tools, templates, and processes within the Program Management Office (PMO)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong project and program management capabilities, including planning, execution, and risk management
Ability to design and implement performance tracking frameworks and dashboards
Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and application to business operations
Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to senior leadership
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across cross-functional teams
Experience/Qualifications:
5–8+ years of relevant experience (Manager) or 8–12+ years (Senior Manager) in program management, consulting, operations, or transformation roles
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or related field required
Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferred
Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
Experience in transformation programs, Program Management Office (PMO) environments, or large-scale change initiatives preferred
Experience applying process optimization or continuous improvement approaches to drive operational results preferred
License Requirements/Certifications:
Lean or Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) preferred
Working Environment/Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-based or hybrid work environment
Location preference: Atlanta, GA preferred; open to remote / hybrid for the right candidate.
