Job Purpose:
Drive the growth and profitability of the Exteriors portfolio by leading brand strategy, innovation, and commercialization across retail and institutional channels, while strengthening brand equity and market leadership.
Business Responsibilities:
1. Category & Business Leadership:
• Own category growth, market share, profitability and portfolio health.
• Develop short, medium and long-term category strategies based on consumer, customer and competitive insights.
• Manage the category as a business unit with clear revenue, profitability and growth objectives.
• Identify whitespace opportunities and lead expansion into new segments, applications and customer groups.
2. Brand Strategy & Growth:
• Build and execute annual brand plans across retail and institutional segments.
• Define positioning, value propositions and communication strategies for assigned brands.
• Drive brand awareness, consideration, preference and premiumization.
• Partner with creative, media and digital agencies to deliver impactful campaigns and consumer experiences.
• Monitor brand health metrics and recommend interventions to strengthen equity.
3. Product & Innovation Management:
• Lead the end-to-end innovation pipeline—from insight generation and concept development to commercialization.
• Develop differentiated product propositions aligned to market needs and emerging trends.
• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing and supply chain teams to launch winning products.
• Manage product lifecycle, portfolio architecture and rationalization decisions.
4. Institutional Business Marketing:
• Develop go-to-market strategies for projects, infrastructure, government, industrial and related segments.
• Create segment-specific value propositions, technical selling tools and customer engagement programs.
• Partner with Institutional Sales teams to identify growth opportunities and improve win rates.
• Build marketing programs targeted at institutional buyers, builders and key decision-makers in liaison with Sale teams.
• Drive specification-led demand generation and influence strategies.
5. Pricing & Commercial Excellence:
• Lead pricing strategy, value engineering and profitability initiatives.
• Analyze competitive landscape, market trends and customer economics.
• Recommend channel, pack and pricing interventions to maximize growth and margins.
6. Consumer & Market Insights:
• Translate consumer, customer and market insights into actionable business opportunities.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify emerging needs and unmet opportunities.
• Track competitive activity, innovation trends and evolving customer preferences.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership:
• Collaborate extensively with Sales, Institutional Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D and Agency partners.
• Lead cross-functional launch teams and ensure flawless execution.
• Influence stakeholders without direct authority and drive alignment across functions.
Education Qualifications:
MBA/PDGM from Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school.
Work Experience:
1-5 years of Experience in Brand Management, Category Management, Product Management or Marketing having managed P&L-linked categories, brands or product portfolios..
