Overview McKee Risk Management, a RPS company has been committed to delivering specialized underwriting, claims and risk control to select groups of insureds through our established agents since 1999. As a Commercial Insurance Program Administrator, we recognize the importance of strong and deep relationships with both the carriers with whom we are aligned, our agents, brokers and one another. How you'll make an impact You’ll lead from the front, helping guide the underwriting, management, using McKee’s exclusive program markets, while also working with alternative markets to meet the customers needs. Day to day, you’ll review new and renewal business, use your judgement to accept, modify, or decline risk, and make sure pricing, retention, and service decisions support both the book and the wider team goals. You’ll also keep a close eye on file quality, compliance, and the information needed to back up underwriting decisions. This role also gives you a real opportunity to shape the work of others. You’ll coach junior colleagues, help check work for accuracy and consistency, and support the team in applying underwriting rules, rating guidance, and insurance regulations. You’ll build trusted relationships with agents, brokers, and producers, spend time in the market to protect existing accounts and open new opportunities, and help turn good conversations into profitable business. A few ways you’ll contribute: Review and document new and renewal transactions within written authority Manage rate, retention, and service for assigned accounts and agency relationships Use premium and loss data to support renewal, change, and mid-term underwriting decisions Analyze coverage and limit requests, then set the terms you are prepared to offer Support file quality, compliance, reporting, and underwriting audits Coach and support colleagues by sharing practical technical guidance Build and manage strong agency, broker, and producer relationships through regular market visits, business development activities, and strategic agency planning to drive profitable growth, strengthen retention, and uncover new business opportunities About You A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience A current license, or the ability to meet the licensing requirement Experience making underwriting, pricing, retention, and service decisions within guidelines The ability to explain risk decisions clearly to agents, brokers, and colleagues Experience supporting or coaching others and reviewing work for accuracy Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Comfort with frequent travel to visit agents and brokers throughout the Northeast and occasional visits to McKee office in PA
