Job Description
The Brand & Social Media Coordinator is a hands‑on content creator and steward of the brand’s voice and personality, particularly for next‑generation audiences. This role blends daily social content creation and channel management with applied brand leadership—ensuring the brand shows up as modern, human, and culturally relevant across platforms.
Sitting at the intersection of brand, social media, creators, and community, this role is ideal for someone who believes strong brand strategy is built through making, testing, and publishing real content—not just planning it.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma required, college degree preferred
3 years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, or brand roles
Certificate, Licenses and Registration Requirements:
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to create and publish content independently, start to finish
Strong instincts for audience behavior, storytelling, and platform trends
Comfort operating in a regulated, brand‑sensitive, or reputation‑conscious environment
Ability to articulate why content works and how it supports brand goals
Strong writer including content, storytelling, and professional communications
Design skills that align with social media content development
Essential Functions:
Brand & Voice Strategy
Bring insights on emerging audience behavior, digital culture, and platform‑native norms directly into content creation and daily publishing decisions, ensuring relevance is visible in the work itself
Evolve brand tone, messaging, and visual storytelling through hands‑on testing and performance learnings, balancing modern, creator‑led expression with brand integrity (without chasing trends for their own sake)
Serve as an internal resource on Millennial and Gen Z and emerging audience trends, behaviors, and platforms
Partner with marketing and public affairs teams to translate campaigns, initiatives, and partnerships into social‑first, on‑brand storytelling that works in real formats and real feeds
Shape
Social Media Execution & Management
Own day‑to‑day social media planning, publishing, and optimization across priority platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
Maintain a content calendar while remaining flexible for timely or real‑time moments
Coordinate approvals efficiently to support posting at social speed
Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, legal requirements, and regulatory or reputational guidelines
Support campaigns with insights on authenticity, relatability, and audience relevance
Work with AVP Corporate Communications to streamline social media training and to plan and facilitate sessions for employees.
Shape
Community Engagement
Actively manage comments, messages, and mentions to build meaningful, two‑way engagement
Foster a sense of connection and responsiveness across channels
Identify and activate creator, influencer, and community partnerships
Monitor sentiment and flag risks, opportunities, or emerging themes to communications leadership
Shape
Measurement & Optimization
Track performance metrics including engagement, growth, reach, video completion, and sentiment
Use insights to refine content, visual style, and voice over time
Share clear, practical takeaways—not just vanity metrics
