Associate Chief of Staff
Job Description
About the Role
This is not a typical analyst seat. The Associate Chief of Staff reports directly to the CEO and operates at the center of the company's most consequential, transformational initiatives. You will lead quantitative, data-driven analysis across key areas of the business as part of a strategic continuous-improvement agenda. Your work will directly inform the company's most critical decisions on strategy and growth — with frontline exposure to executive leadership on every project. There is no red tape here — you will move freely across every department with total access to the people, data, and resources you need to accomplish your mission.
This is a highly visible, fast-paced role that supports strategic initiatives sponsored by the CEO and executive leadership team. The nature of the work requires strong responsiveness, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a dynamic business environment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and accountability, balancing both planned strategic projects and time-sensitive business priorities. Occasional work outside of standard business hours may be required to support critical initiatives, executive deliverables, project deadlines, or business needs.
This role is best suited for individuals who thrive in demanding, high-performance environments, enjoy solving complex business challenges, and are motivated by significant exposure to executive leadership and enterprise-wide decision-making.
Compensation for this role is $125,000, plus up to a 20% performance-based annual bonus.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end quantitative analysis on high-priority strategic projects of the CEO.
- Build and maintain models, dashboards, and data frameworks that drive decisions across operations, finance, sales, and growth.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, process flow charts, briefings, and progress reports on active projects.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and corporate teams to diagnose performance gaps and design continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Operate as a trusted extension of the CEO's office — handling sensitive, time-critical work with discretion and speed.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in operations, finance, or accounting; background in consulting, corporate strategy, or FP&A is also valued.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills — you think in data and process. You build models instinctively.
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including working with large, complex datasets. Fluency with Claude AI Excel plugins is required; experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — you can distill complexity for a C-suite audience.
- Highly collaborative with the conviction to defend your point of view and the humility to keep an open mind — best idea wins.
- Unquestioned integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- A self-starter who thrives without hand-holding — you take ownership, figure it out, and deliver.
- Creative, resourceful thinker who is comfortable operating in ambiguity — you don't need a playbook to make progress.
- Genuinely hungry to learn, grow, and take on more — this role rewards results with rapid advancement.
