Quality Engineering Technician - 1st Shift - Pay Starting at $31.91/hr
Job Description
Join a quality-focused team supporting the inspection and evaluation of components and finished products within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience applying quality standards, analyzing product performance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure products meet established specifications and regulatory requirements.
What you will do
Execute inspection, testing, and evaluation activities on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications
Develop and maintain inspection and testing procedures to support consistent quality standards
Analyze product, process, and supplier performance data to identify trends and report findings
Document and recommend corrective actions based on nonconformance reports and returned product analysis
Support supplier qualification activities by evaluating vendor performance and inspection results
Apply statistical process control methods to monitor performance and optimize operating parameters
May train team members on inspection techniques, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to resolve product reliability or quality concerns
May need to travel domestically to other Stryker sites to support product reworks
What you will need
Required
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of relevant experience
Requires ability to lift 10–50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
Preferred
Associate degree in technical or engineering-related discipline
Minimum 1 year of technical experience in a manufacturing or quality environment
Training or certification in quality assurance or inspection methods
Experience supporting electro-mechanical or mechanical product inspection processes
$31.91 - $43.79 USD Hourly
