Senior Project Manger
Reporting to: PD or VP of Construction, Japan
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of data center construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and regulatory standards.
This role acts as the owner’s representative, coordinating closely with Japanese design firms, general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects throughout the full project lifecycle — from design development and pre-construction planning through construction, commissioning, and project handover.
The Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring that project execution aligns with both global company standards and Japan-specific construction practices. The role requires strong collaboration with local contractors and stakeholders, including design institutes, engineering consultants, and regulatory authorities.
As the company is in a pioneering phase of the Japanese data center industry, the Project Manager is expected to demonstrate a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, contributing beyond the formal scope of the role where necessary to support successful project delivery.
The Project Manager will also work closely with operations teams during design and construction to ensure maintainability, operational reliability, and long-term performance of the facility.
