About the role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help build next-generation AI systems within the healthcare space.

This role focuses on designing and deploying highly scalable, production-grade systems related to patient communication, triage workflows, AI agent orchestration, and secure healthcare data platforms.

You will join a highly technical environment focused on solving complex real-world problems through AI, distributed systems, and modern software engineering practices.

This is not a traditional enterprise engineering role — we are looking for builders who thrive in ambiguity, ownership, and high-impact environments.

What you’ll do

• Design and deploy AI-powered healthcare systems at scale

• Build backend services and distributed systems using Python and modern architectures

• Work on patient communication and triage workflows

• Contribute to AI agent orchestration and automation layers

• Build secure healthcare data systems with reliability and compliance in mind

• Work on low-latency voice/video and real-time interaction systems

• Integrate with enterprise and healthcare platforms

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous requirements into scalable solutions

• Help define engineering standards, architecture, and technical direction

What we’re looking for

• +5 years building complex, production-grade systems

• Strong backend engineering experience with:

  • Python

  • distributed systems

  • scalable architectures

• Experience working on:

  • AI-driven communication systems

  • triage or workflow automation

  • AI agent orchestration

  • secure data platforms

• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into practical engineering solutions

• Strong ownership mindset and product thinking

• Comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments

Nice to have

• Experience with:

  • low-latency voice/video systems

  • healthcare or regulated environments

  • Rust, Go, or TypeScript

  • enterprise integrations

• Experience building AI-native or agentic systems in production

• Full remote from Spain
