Assistant Project Manager (Control Systems)
Job Description
CLPe Solutions Limited (formerly CLP Engineering Limited), incorporated in Hong Kong in 1985, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CLP Holdings Limited with extensive experience in providing total energy solution. The company undertakes a variety of services including energy management solutions, distributed energy as well as power engineering, infrastructure and facilities management in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland with the focus on the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join our Contracting Business Department. The appointee will be assigned to work in the Hong Kong International Airport in Chek Lap Kok and responsible for the following major duties:
- Support Project Manager in supervising a multi-disciplinary team.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor site progress, manage defects, and ensure timely delivery.
• Supervise suppliers and subcontractors for control / electrical system installations.
• Respond to emergency calls and site issues outside office hours.
• Perform ad-hoc duties including night shifts and Saturday work.
• Prepare design submissions, method statements, safety & health plans, and other required documents.
• Implement and monitor Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) systems.
• Ensure alignment with CLP’s HSSEQ standards and safety culture.
• Plan and execute works within the Three-Runway System (3RS) site boundary.
• Manage access, logistics, and compliance with airport operational safety protocols.
• Prepare quotations, business proposals, and support contract negotiations.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors on tendering, contract administration, and payments.
• Manage scope changes, supplemental agreements, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with clients to plan, schedule, and meet technical requirements.
• Provide training and support for subordinates and trainees.
Requirements:
A recognized University Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management or relevant engineering disciplines
Minimum of 5 years of working experience in maintenance or installation of Electrical Systems
Minimum of 3 years of experience in airport-related projects and dealing with main contractors for E&M projects in terms of both technical and commercial aspects
Familiarity with airport systems, BMS, SCADA, MICS in BHS and MEP works is a plus
Sound knowledge in managing contractors, interfacing with contractors and managing site activities in multi-discipline infrastructure projects
Strong business acumen, customer-oriented and performance driven
Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Possession of Registered Electrical Worker (Grade A or above), Construction Industry Safety Card (Green Card), Construction Workers Registration Card, and confined space training certification is preferable
Candidate with a valid driving license 2
Candidate with less experience will be considered for lower position
