Job Description
The Manager, Facilities is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of all WGU facilities, ensuring they support a safe, efficient, and effective work environment. This role provides leadership to facilities staff and vendors, manages maintenance and repair services, and ensures compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. The Manager, Facilities supports strategic initiatives by contributing to facilities planning, budgeting, and process improvements while also promoting cost-effective solutions and high service quality. This position services as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, facilities personnel, and external service providers to deliver excellent facilities support across WGU.

What You’ll Do
- Lead daily facilities operations across all WGU sites to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality work environment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal service requests, vendor coordination, and property management communications
- Oversee SOPs and SLAs, conducting regular reviews and audits to drive continuous process improvement
- Manage office modifications, maintenance projects, and space planning aligned with organizational goals
- Support facilities budgeting by monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Supervise facilities staff and vendors across mail services, office moves, meeting logistics, inventory, and campus operations
- Partner cross-functionally to support construction, renovation, safety programs, and business continuity planning
What You’ll Bring
What's Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, property management, business, construction, architecture, or a related field
- 5+ years of related experience in facilities, property management, or similar environments
- 1+ year of leadership experience with demonstrated ability to guide teams and vendors
Core Capabilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on service excellence
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
- Experience supporting safety compliance, including OSHA, building codes, and regulatory standards

Bonus Points
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation
- Experience with systems such as CMMS, CAFM, BMS, BAS, BEMS, or facilities asset management tools
- Background in facilities management within a multi-site or corporate environment
