Job Description: Director, Quality Control/Quality Assurance
Department: Quality Control Reports to: Global Head, Quality of KDC and dotted line to the site GM
BASIC FUNCTION
Assures the overall product quality by administering the company quality program. Promotes company quality improvement efforts throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Develops detailed written SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for Quality activities and maintains the controlled copy of the company quality manual.
Analyzes problems occurring in production, filling and assembly to determine the root cause and aids in the corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
Management representative for FDA and Customer Audits.
Design all new Product Quality Control Inspection Record forms using Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) to maintain current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) and high-quality product.
Conducts periodic audits of Warehouse, Production and Manufacturing Practices (Compounding) Departments.
Participates in review of customer component engineering specifications and fill and assembly instruction to ensure adequate quality requirements are included before first production, insure customer specification is clear and agreed to.
Maintains working relationship with Client Quality Professionals and customer Package Engineering and Development Personnel.
Manage, recruit, train, and coach team of Quality Control Department personnel.
Maintain distributed copies of Quality Manual.
Facilitates internal auditing program.
Conducts supplier audits.
Insure all employees have proper GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) training.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINI
BS or higher In Sciences or Engineering. American Society for Quality Certification.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years Quality Management experience in Cosmetics or Pharmaceuticals field.
