Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Denmark 

Department: Sales

Location: Denmark – Covering South Jylland, Fyn, Sjaelland (west). 4.5 days per week travelling / 0.5 day remote admin.

Salary Range: 436,426 – 581,901

 

Extensive travel is required for this position, you must hold a driving license and reside in Denmark.

Job summary – What to expect: 

As the Business Development Manager, you are a passionate, energetic, and results-driven professional responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and building long-term customer relationships. You will act as a trusted advisor to your clients, offering tailored solutions that align with their business needs while supporting CooperVision’s strategic goals. Your mission is to drive sustainable growth through consultative selling, strategic planning, and exceptional customer engagement.

  • Develop and execute territory business plans that align with company objectives and customer needs.

  • Build and maintain strong, value-driven relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Lead consultative sales efforts, identifying opportunities to deliver joint value for CooperVision and customers.

  • Manage all customer relationships within the territory, acting as the primary contact to drive consistent, long-term sales growth

  • Oversee daily operations across accounts, ensuring effective promotion and support of CooperVision’s products and services.

  • Achieve annual sales targets and KPIs through effective territory and account management.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of CooperVision’s product portfolio, clinical benefits, and market positioning to support customer decision-making.

  • Deliver compelling product presentations and training sessions to retail staff, in collaboration with the Professional Services team.

  • Introduce and promote new products and campaigns, anticipating customer needs and market trends.

  • Build strong partnerships with the key accounts to support commercial and educational initiatives.

  • Represent CooperVision at industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to enhance brand presence.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks and reporting.

About you:

We are looking for an someone with an optical background/ from the optical industry or an Optometrist.

 

Experience & Education:

  • Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-potential sales area

  • Planning : understands customer & consumer core needs , manages time & prioritization ,handles multiple deadlines, changing circumstances and competing timelines; shares information to drive work progress 

  • Results : takes accountability for meeting individual goals; helps to solve business problems ; delivers consistent & sustainable results; integrates and aligns efforts with business priorities 

  • Teamwork : contributes to inclusive culture; builds relationships; collaborates to achieve common goals; provides constructive feed-back 

  • Impact : builds strong relationships on honesty, candor, trust and respect,understands role and interrelationships 

  • Self Aware: open to learning and feed-back ; realistically appraises own strengths and weaknesses ; communicates individual point ov view in a rational and respectful manner ; lives the organizational values 

  • Proficient in Salesforce.com, MS Office; knowledge of Showpad is a plus.
