The Senior Zuora Engineer is a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the Zuora platform and extensive experience integrating Zuora with other enterprise systems. This role will serve as the primary system administrator and support owner for Zuora Billing. You will design and maintain robust API integrations, automate complex financial workflows, and ensure the daily reliability and performance of our Zuora ecosystem to support seamless quote-to-cash operations.

The Senior Zuora Engineer is a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the Zuora platform and extensive experience integrating Zuora with other enterprise systems. This role will serve as the primary system administrator and support owner for Zuora Billing. You will design and maintain robust API integrations, automate complex financial workflows, and ensure the daily reliability and performance of our Zuora ecosystem to support seamless quote-to-cash operations.
What that means day-to-day:
- Lead end-to-end Zuora implementations including Billing, Payments, and Subscription Management
- Create and optimize complex Zuora Workflows and Events and Notifications module to meet business requirements.
- Build and maintain custom Invoice and Credit Memo templates and tenant-branded customer emails using Zuora Invoice HTML templates.
- Create and maintain the core Product Catalog, including dynamic pricing, rate plans, charges, discount rules, currencies, taxation, and accounting codes
- Assist with month-end close checklists, bulk data uploads/updates.
- Manage environment strategy across multiple tenants (Sandbox, Dev, UAT, Production) and safely promote product catalogs and configuration changes.
- Manage/Enhance Zuora CPQ Configuration. Troubleshoot and resolve CPQ or Zuora CRM sync issues.
- Configure payment gateways, HPMs, payment method policies, dunning.
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable Zuora solutions
- Design/implement REST API integrations with Salesforce and other applications.
- Create Zuora Reports/Data Queries as per business stakeholder requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system functionality, customization, and integration

What you’ll need to be successful:
- 5+ years of experience in Zuora Billing administration and configuration , including product catalog, subscriptions, billing rules, payment gateways, and revenue recognition.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end Zuora billing and subscription implementations
- Experience with 3rd party integrations in complex environment
- Prior experience in Zuora Quotes/CPQ X implementation.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining REST API integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make sound decisions in uncertain and time-sensitive circumstances
- Zuora Billing Certification - desirable
