Lead Specialist/ Manager - Internal Communications
The Internal Communications Manager for Mercer Business and Client Services (BCS) will support the execution of internal communications initiatives that engage the global Mercer BCS population. This individual will have experience working with senior stakeholders, a solid understanding of internal communications best practices, and a passion for storytelling that helps drive employee engagement.
The individual will be an excellent communicator, with strong writing skills and strategic awareness, and the ability to develop compelling content tailored for different internal communications channels.
In this role, the individual will contribute to the development and delivery of messaging and communications materials, collaborating with the BCS Internal Communications team and other partners to ensure consistent and effective communication across channels. While this position does not include direct reports, it offers the opportunity to grow skills in internal communications within a supportive and collaborative environment.
This role provides a chance to contribute meaningfully to Mercer’s and BCS’s communications efforts, supporting business goals through clear and engaging internal messaging.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing clear, engaging messaging and content for employees across multiple internal channels (intranet, newsletters, email, Viva Engage etc.)
- Contributes to the planning, delivery and measurement of internal communication plans to help support the execution of company strategies and increase employee engagement
- Supporting communications for senior leadership
- Analysing distribution metrics to measure communication effectiveness against pre-defined measures of success
- Working in a team environment with a client-centric focus, emotional intelligence, and strong stakeholder management
- Collaborating with BCS internal communications team members to align messaging and ensure consistency
- Advising stakeholders on best‑practice communications approaches

- Proven experience in internal communications and employee engagement
- Exceptional writing and content creation skills
- Strong stakeholder management
- The ability to plan, manage and deliver communications end‑to‑end
- Experience within a large, multinational or complex environment
