SUMMARY:
Community Unit School District 200 is seeking an Elementary Bilingual Teacher to provide pull-out services with emphasis in English as a Second Language.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S):
Current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL) with Bilingual Endorsement
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Ability to demonstrate competency in organization, flexibility, and cooperativeness
- ACCESS certification preferred
- Screen entering students for Bilingual/ELL services
- Plan and deliver English language development instruction for Bilingual/ELL students
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to assess the progress of students on a regular basis
- Confer with parents and teachers concerning individual students
- Consult with classroom teachers regarding curriculum modifications necessary to meet the needs of the English language learner
- Maintain records for direct served and monitored students
- Maintain and improves professional competencies by attending professional development opportunities
- Attend staff meetings at building and district level
