The IT Project Manager independently manages a full range of projects, including the larger and more complex corporate or departmental projects and implementations. They organize and execute projects, including coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Duties also include coordinating and communicating between technical service teams and various business units.

What you’ll do:

● Ability to adapt project management techniques to leverage best concepts of iterative agile methodologies and pre-planned processes based on the needs of the particular team and project.

● Ability to come up to speed on various IT-provided technical services and provide value in coordination and communications related to those services.

● Comfortable to translate between technical and non-technical staff, including senior leadership.

● Participate in developing and improving upon departmental project management methodologies.

● Leads and motivates teams and ensures projects are delivered with a high degree of quality.

● Effectively manages the project scope, budget, and timeline.Evaluates the impact to the project if changes are made to these constraints.

● Identifies and manages potential risks or issues. Proactively develops contingency and mitigation plans.

● Utilizes analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as project management and technical knowledge, to assess and resolve project-related obstacles.

● Effectively communicates relevant project information to project team members, internal customers, and the management team. Communicates difficult and sensitive information tactfully.

● Influences decision-making, obtains buy-in, and negotiates resources, scope, and timelines with Project Sponsors, key stakeholders, and project team members.

● Manages contract and consulting resources and ensures compliance with the project budget and Statement of Work.

● Analyzes and assesses project requirements and processes.

● Identifies the areas for improvements proactively and leads the project effort in standardizing the processes and procedures, streamlining, enhancing, and making processes superior and simple.

● Delivers effective problem solving with an analytical mindset and taking end-to-end project ownership to prevent and solve problems, and to anticipate and avoid problems before they become project blockers.

● Takes control of all assigned IT projects end-to-end to effectively challenge project members, ensure accountability, and inform stakeholders of project outcomes.

Who you are:

● 3+ years of experience in managing IT Projects required. A combination of technical IT and leadership experience will also be considered.

● 5+ years of experience in managing IT Projects preferred.

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

● Demonstrated experience managing medium to large complexity IT projects.

● Ability to influence and motivate others (who do not report to you) to perform quality work.

● Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management , project team members, internal clients, and consultants. This includes working closely with engineers, engineering leaders, and business unit stakeholders.

● Strong ability to persuade at all levels of the organization.

● Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and solve complex problems.

● Excellent oral and written communication skills.

● Working knowledge of JIRA.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

● Knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies and experience managing projects in both.
