Senior Specialist, Back-End Engineer

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Software Engineer, Backend to join our Engineering & Technology team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Design and develop robust backend features and components using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Collaborate with other developers, product teams, and functional teams on design, development, and implementation.
Execute full lifecycle software development, including programming well-designed, testable, efficient code.
Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites, ensuring high quality and security.
Triage bugs, track software defects, and ensure their timely resolution, while reducing technical debt.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms.
Actively participate in code reviews, steward technical standards, and promote code reuse and best practices.
Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
2-6 years of experience in software development; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Prior experience with a specific application development toolkit and proficiency in a backend development language (e.g., C#, Java).
Experience developing in a backend environment, with knowledge of cross-platform interoperability.
Strong understanding of modern and traditional structured methods for developing applications.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Commitment to active learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies.
People Leadership requirement:Acts as a mentor to junior level engineers, sharing knowledge and elevating team capabilities.
