The role of the Farm‑In Local Electrical Room Commodity Buyer is a strategic procurement position with full ownership for the performance, cost, and supplier management of the assigned commodity. You drive sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, and ensure alignment with business KPIs. The Commodity Buyer partners closely with Product Leadership, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to support product and business objectives. In this role, the Commodity Buyer reports to the Sourcing Commodity Leader.
As a Farm‑In Local Electrical Room Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for:
Contributing to the development and execution of long‑term strategies for the assigned commodity, ensuring best performance across procurement KPIs.
Integrating commodity strategies into product leadership, sales, engineering, and manufacturing objectives.
Driving supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management for New Product Development, in collaboration with engineering, sales, product leadership, and procurement teams, in accordance with business strategy.
Partnering with Product Leadership, Sales, and Engineering as the primary point of reference for product strategy related to the assigned commodity.
Developing negotiation strategies and leading negotiations to achieve supply chain goals for both single purchase orders and strategic partnerships.
Negotiating and issuing purchase orders to achieve the lowest possible material cost while balancing quality and schedule requirements.
Developing procurement initiatives supporting cost‑out programs, deflation, cycle‑time reduction, BVC procurement, and cash‑flow improvements (e.g., rebates, payment terms).
Leveraging S&OP data to match and optimize supplier capacity with business goals.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Economics, with experience in procurement or commodity management.
Show strong experience in Procurement, Operations, or Supply Chain.
Be fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
Demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills.
Bring an analytical mindset with proven ability to resolve problems and identify solutions.
Have strong oral and written communication skills.
Bring a positive attitude, embracing change and viewing challenges as opportunities.
