Job Purpose
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English As A Second Language Teacher to join our team at Oxford International Toronto. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping learners improve their English language skills and achieve their academic and professional goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to adult learners.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
- Support students in achieving their language proficiency goals in general, academic, and business English.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and share best practices.
Person Specifications
Legal status
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Clear background or criminal record check
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree;
- TESL or CELTA certification.
Experience and knowledge
- Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language to adult learners.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
