The Position
Bentonite Mining EngineerJob Summary
Job Purpose
Bentonite mining engineer's core purpose is to develop and supervise the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible extraction of minerals. He/she manages the entire life cycle of a mine, ensuring operations meet strict safety standards, annual targets and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate bentonite mining operations
Implementation of annual bentonite mines exploitation plan, ensuring the appropriate quality
Ensure compliance with EHS & KMLE regulations
Monitor and optimize extraction processes
Collaborate with geological department
Prepare and manage budgets and project schedules
Develop and implement mining software solutions
Manage stripping activities
Prepare technical reports and documentation
Supervision & coordination of mining & transportation contractors
Represent Imerys with local community stakeholders
Validate and report data in SAP
Participate in monthly & quarterly Hub review meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mining or Mineral Resources Engineering
At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of G-suite
Proficiency in English, both written and oral
Knowledge of SAP & Surpack
Strong communication & analytical skills
