Manufacturing Applications Analyst
Job Description
Job Overview
As a Manufacturing Applications Analyst, you will play a key role in advancing Komatsu's manufacturing technology landscape by supporting, implementing, and continuously improving the applications and systems that power our manufacturing operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional who is passionate about technology, manufacturing, and problem-solving. Whether you are a recent graduate or have gained experience through internships or co-op programs, you will have the opportunity to work directly with manufacturing, operations, engineering, and IT teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive manufacturing excellence.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for manufacturing applications and technology initiatives within assigned facilities. You will support day-to-day operational needs, coordinate issue resolution across multiple teams, and help evaluate and implement new technologies that improve efficiency, reliability, and productivity on the shop floor.
As Komatsu continues its journey toward Smart Manufacturing and Industrial IoT (IIoT), this position will play an important role in helping bridge the gap between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). You will gain exposure to the systems, equipment, and technologies that connect manufacturing operations with enterprise IT systems, helping shape the future of manufacturing technology across our organization.
This position will initially support the South Harbor facility while also partnering with other key manufacturing locations. The role offers opportunities to travel to manufacturing sites (up to 25%) to collaborate directly with users, understand business challenges, and support technology implementations.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, customer focus, and a desire to learn. The ideal candidate enjoys working closely with both technical and operational teams, can think critically when solving problems, and is excited about using technology to advance manufacturing excellence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to build a career at the intersection of manufacturing, operations, and technology while helping drive the next generation of digital manufacturing capabilities at Komatsu.
