Position Summary
The Cafeteria Staff member supports the daily operations of the school lunch program. This role ensures students receive meals in a clean, safe, and friendly environment. Responsibilities include food pick up, serving meals, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting with cleanup.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking up and serving of student meals
- Maintain a clean and sanitary cafeteria and kitchen area
- Set up and break down lunch service stations
- Clean tables, counters, and food service equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Complete inventory, storage, and organization of supplies
- Provide a positive, welcoming environment for students during meal times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in food service, cafeteria work, or kitchen support is helpful but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work well with children and staff
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills
