Dynamics of the Role
We are seeking a passionate, strategic and execution-oriented CSR professional to independently manage and drive end-to-end CSR initiatives across thematic areas such as Education, Skilling, Environment, Healthcare, Livelihood, Community Development and Employee Volunteering.
The role requires strong expertise in CSR project lifecycle management — from need assessment, project conceptualization, partner evaluation, implementation oversight, monitoring, governance, compliance, impact assessment and outcome reporting to stakeholder engagement and strategic CSR communication.
What You'll Bring:
Roles & Responsibilities
CSR Strategy & Project Management
- Independently plan, design, implement and manage CSR projects aligned with organizational CSR strategy and Schedule VII requirements.
- Conduct baseline assessments, need analysis and identify high-impact intervention opportunities.
- Develop annual project plans, timely execution, implementation frameworks, KPIs, measurable indicators and monitoring structures.
- Manage multiple CSR projects simultaneously across different thematic and geographical areas.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external implementation partners to ensure smooth project execution.
Project Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Tracking
- Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for all CSR programs.
- Conduct regular field visits, review meetings, beneficiary interactions and progress assessments.
- Track project outcomes, milestones, utilization and overall effectiveness.
- Develop dashboards, trackers, MIS reports and impact summaries for management review.
- Support third-party assessments, audits and impact evaluations.
- Ensure evidence-based reporting through qualitative and quantitative data collection.
Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act CSR provisions, Schedule VII requirements, CSR Rules and internal governance processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including proposals, approvals, agreements, MoUs, utilization certificates, reports, field records, case studies, photographs, beneficiary data and audit-ready files.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, procurement and compliance teams for smooth processing and governance adherence.
- Ensure record management across all CSR activities.
NGO / Vendor / Partner Management
- Identify, evaluate, onboard and manage NGOs, implementation agencies, consultants and vendors.
- Conduct due diligence, capability assessment, and compliance verification of partners
- Monitor partner performance and ensure accountability
- Facilitate periodic reviews and partner engagement meetings.
Budget Planning & Financial Oversight
- Prepare and manage CSR budgets in coordination with finance and leadership teams.
- Track fund utilization, project disbursements, invoices, utilization certificates and budget variance.
Employee Volunteering & Engagement
- Design and execute employee volunteering initiatives
- Develop volunteering calendars, engagement strategies, impact stories and participation reports. Develop recognition platforms
CSR Communication & Branding
- Support strategic communication of CSR initiatives internally and externally.
- Develop impactful presentations, success stories, impact reports, newsletters, social media content and CSR communication materials.
- Support CSR award applications & recognition platforms

- Strong understanding of CSR laws and governance & NGO management
- Expertise in project management, monitoring frameworks and impact measurement.

Qualifications & Experience
- Preferred Qualification: Master’s in social work / Sociology / Development Studies / Rural Development or related Social Sciences fields.
- Other postgraduate degrees may be considered with relevant CSR/development sector experience.
- Minimum 7 + years of relevant experience in CSR, sustainability, development sector, NGO management, or social impact initiatives.
- Experience in independently handling CSR projects end-to-end is preferred.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in data analysis and impact reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel as needed
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Familiarity with Canva or other design/presentation tools
