Job Description
SUMMARY:
Our Place is a no-cost multi-service drop-in center in West Oakland that primarily services people experiencing homelessness in the neighborhood. Our Place provides hygiene services like showers and laundry, hot meals, case management, housing navigation, and a variety of behavioral health support services such as recovery counseling, group therapy, and individual therapy. Our Place employs a diverse range of staff including peers, case managers, and licensed clinicians. The Center Supervisor provides operational supervision and ongoing support to the staff at Our Place. The Center Supervisor will coordinate with medical care teams and supervise all center-based front- and back-office support staff. The Center Supervisor also provides day-to-day oversight and management of different administrative systems, workflows and operations, including front and back office.
This position reports to the Center Director or Associate Director.
JOB DUTIES:

Supports the development and implementation of Primary Care Teams and supports all Center staff.

Template Scheduler (create, open, or close)

Facilitates smooth operations and communications between all Center departments and staff.

Hold weekly staff meeting with supervisor staff

Recruits, hires, orients, develops, supervises, evaluates and terminates staff.

Develops appropriate organizational structure(s) and weekly staffing schedules for Center and maintains master calendar.

Liaison between community partners and Center for new patient linkage

Oversees daily Center operations, including patient and work flow, resolves problems, on clinic floor assist, seeking support from Center Manager as needed.

Liaison between the Center and Administrative services.

Addresses patient grievances.

Develops procedures in conjunction with staff and Center Manager.

Builds and maintains relationships with community partners, other LifeLong facilities and staff.

Additional duties, as assigned by Center Manager.
Administration, Compliance & Budget

Ensures compliance with Lifelong policies and all relevant regulations, including Title 22, Medi-Cal, the local health department, etc.

Maintains records for and completes all necessary reporting to county & state agencies, MediCal, the Veteran’s Administration, other public or private funding sources, and LifeLong administration.

Monitors changes in MediCal and other state requirements and recommends changes to LifeLong policies to comply. Develops and updates Medical Policy & Procedures manual, Informs staff, participants and caregivers about policies.

Participates in long-term program planning; recommends timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.
Community Relations and Coordination, Outreach and Marketing

Functions as a liaison to other community organizations. Actively engages program volunteers, committee members, board members, partnering organizations, and funders to build community support.

Assists with marketing and outreach efforts, including community presentations and educational events.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Three years of health center management experience.

Ability to work evening and possibly weekend hours.

Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
Job Preferences:

College degree in related field preferred.

Community or Public Health experience.
