[DDMS] Functional Architect Detailed Design (m/f)
Job Description
Job Description:
A vacancy for a Functional Architect (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters Information Management directorate in Marignane/Donauworth.
The successful applicant will join the Product-Service-Line Physical Products in the End-to-End Develop domain.
Your Challenges
The Functional Architect plays a critical and multifaceted role, serving as the essential leader and bridge across the entire End-to-End (E2E) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem. This position mandates comprehensive leadership, effectively connecting the domains of Information Technology (IT), Methods & Tools, and the core Business functions.
Strategic Roadmap Definition: The Functional Architect is directly responsible for defining and maintaining the Project Functional Roadmap. This involves a continuous process of mediation, ensuring alignment and seamless translation between highly technical implementation teams and the functional requirements articulated by the business stakeholders.
Target Architecture Design: A primary duty is to meticulously design the target functional architecture for the PLM landscape. This design must not only address current needs but also anticipate future scalability and integration demands.
Formal Documentation and Compliance: They are the key author of formal documentation, most notably the Solution Architecture Dossier. Furthermore, the Functional Architect is accountable for ensuring the complete compliance of the proposed solutions with all relevant Company and Airbus Group standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
User-Centric Tailoring and Performance: A critical focus is the tailoring of designs to achieve superior user-centricity. This includes establishing, monitoring, and enforcing specific performance metrics and Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments. A prominent example of this commitment is the stringent 8-day User Management SLA, ensuring that essential access and provisioning tasks are executed within the defined time-frame to maintain operational efficiency.
Robustness and Transformation Safeguarding: During periods of significant transformation or upgrade (e.g., implementing a new PLM solution), the Functional Architect holds the responsibility of safeguarding the functional robustness, integrity, and operational stability of the current AH PLM Backbone. This dual focus—advancing the target architecture while ensuring the current system remains reliable—is essential for mitigating business risk.
Your tasks

Your skills
Functional Architecture: Expertise in analyzing complex requirements and creating comprehensive Solution Architecture Dossiers using Archimate.
PLM & CAD Domain Mastery: Deep knowledge of 3DExperience (Dassault Systèmes), CATIA V5, VPM, and Windchill, including associated processes.
