Your role and responsibilities:

You will play a key role in delivering advanced IIoT solutions for condition monitoring of rotating equipment. Your primary focus will be on the design and implementation of smart data acquisition systems based on industrial PLCs. Beyond system development, you will actively contribute to the deployment of end-to-end edge-to-cloud architectures, ensuring seamless data integration and reliable performance across project deliveries. Drawing on your hands-on experience with sensors and hardware integration, you will also support the development and enhancement of edge-to-cloud ETL pipelines, driving innovation and continuous improvement of our digital solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC-based data acquisition systems, covering both software and hardware aspects

  • Execute engineering activities within projects, including adaptation and optimization of software and hardware solutions to meet specific operational requirements

  • Maintain ownership of documentation, including creation and updates of electrical and mechanical drawings for on-site condition monitoring systems

  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot edge-to-cloud data pipelines for individual project deliveries

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance edge-to-cloud ETL pipelines based on real-world service experience.

  • Collaborate within an international team and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Master's Degree in technical studies or equivalent 

  • in total min 5 years of experience incl 2-3 years of an experience in following areas:

  • Industrial controllers programming languages in accordance with IEC 61131-3, particularly Structured Text (ST) and/or CFC/FBD ·

  • Experience in configuration and integration of vibration, current, voltage and other field sensors with industrial acquisition systems.

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, OPC DA, OPC UA, as well as network configuration

  • Basic understanding of signal processing techniques, including FFT and RMS calculations 

  • Working knowledge of Python programming 

Advantage:

Hands-on experience with ABB AC500 or B&R PLCs, including practical knowledge of Automation Builder and Automation Studio environments You are eager to develop further in:

  • DevOps practices, with a focus on automation, troubleshooting, and maintaining edge to cloud data pipelines

  • Advanced Python programming, particularly for cloud-based applications.

We expect from you:

  • Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
