The Middle Office Operations team are responsible for ensuring that operational tasks undertaken by Shared Services / Global Operations are managed appropriately, provide support to Underwriting and ensure that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external Clients
Within this role you will primarily be responsible for supporting the London Wholeasle Property Underwriting business unit
You will be based in our London office
However, we are excited to have implemented our Smart Working initiative offering a hybrid way of working - combining both remote and in-office work
What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include
Supporting Underwriters in entering risk details into source systems; ensuring all underwriting documentation and Client folders are organised and maintained properly
Liasing with Underwriters to ensure accurate interpretation of data when responding to queries
Collaborating with and fostering relationships with the ESS team in India, Credit Control and other support functions—resolving daily issues and queries, responding to regular control and exception reports and ensuring compliance with common standards across the business
Developing and maintaining broker relationships; building knowledge of the class of business and the accounts written; supporting renewal process alongside with underwriters, pricing, claims and governance
Other ad-hoc duties and projects

What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams System data entry experience and processes Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Responsible, fast learner with technology, proactive Desired Skills and Abilities: Minimum A-level standard of education or equivalent business experience Proficient use of Microsoft Excel with the ability to use VLookups/Pivots/Formulas on a daily basis without guidance Rational approach to complex data Possess analytical and problem solving skills Accurate and exceptional attention to detail Excellent proactive organisation skills and ability to plan and prioritise work, using their own initiative and keeping one step ahead Previous insurance or office experience What we offer Inclusion AXA XL is committed to equal employment opportunity and will consider applicants regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity and origins, marital status, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic
