Position Overview 

The Store Operations Data Analyst Intern will support the Store Operations team by analyzing business data, identifying trends, and providing insights that help improve the customer and team member experience across our retail locations. This role offers hands-on experience working with operational metrics, reporting tools, and cross-functional partners to drive data-informed decisions within a fast-paced retail and hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about using data to solve business challenges and improve operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spend dedicated time in retail store locations to study, observe, and execute operational processes firsthand to bridge the gap between corporate data and real-world store execution. 

  • Collect, organize, and analyze store operations data from various reporting systems.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and scorecards that track key business metrics.

  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement across store locations.

  • Support projects related to labor productivity, customer experience, sales performance, inventory management, and operational efficiency.

  • Partner with Store Operations, Finance, Merchandising, and other business teams to gather data and provide insights.

  • Assist with data validation and ensure accuracy of reporting.

  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and project stakeholders.

  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

  • Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis functions.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is preferred.

  • Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, or reporting tools is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and analytical tools.

  • Interest in retail operations, customer experience, and business strategy.

  • Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple priorities.
