Location: Andritz Ltd. Brantford

• Cleaning machinery from pulp and paper industry and related components utilizing pressure washers
• Moving heavy equipment with overhead cranes, jib cranes and forklifts.
• Soda blasting equipment to remove heavy build up, paint and scale
• Maintaining work area after cleaning to remove debris and keep area free from hazards
• Monitoring work areas for safety hazards and environmental concerns, reporting problems to supervisors as needed
• Wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, hard hats, rain suit, respirator, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes when needed for specific tasks or environments
• Prepping parts for paint and assembly by cleaning surfaces, openings, and threaded holes
• Occasionally assist with painting parts and equipment
• Occasionally assist with assembly and disassembly functions as well as, in the shipping department

Experience:

• Experience with using and maintaining pressure blasting equipment
• Experience with soda blasting
• Working in an industrial environment and aware of the associated hazards
• Crane and forklift experience
• Working with hand and power tools
• Experience with NDT an asset
