Job Description
Job Summary:
The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s general ledger. The role ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements. This position plays a key role in month‑end closing, financial reporting, audit support, and continuous process improvement. The position also ensures regulatory compliance.
- Perform timely and accurate month‑end close activities in accordance with the established closing calendar and corporate deadlines.
- Prepare and post standard and complex journal entries, including accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
- Reviews monthly P&L analysis and balance sheet trend reviews.
- Performs periodic Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Process intercompany transactions
- Provide schedules, explanations, and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
- Assist in compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Utilize Oracle Fusion to manage GL transactions and reporting.
- Document and maintain accounting procedures and controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to general ledger and month‑end closing activities.
- Preferably with hands‑on experience using Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
