Job Description
Position Summary
Perform linen distribution procedures to ensure hospital linen needs are met. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing clean, processed linen in-house and returning soiled linen to be picked up by the commercial laundry for reprocessing.

Core Job Responsibilities
- Stocks shelves and carts in the Linen Room on a daily basis
- Verifies that line is clean and is neatly placed in the proper location
- Ensure that linen in assigned area is in compliance with state and federal standards 100% of the time
- Sign and date Linen Distribution forms in each department. (Soiled linen, Restocked line, and linen data collection forms) Forms are submitted to the Distribution Coordinator.
- Arranges line in assigned area to expedite the physical count with 90% accuracy
- Assists staff with all functions of the inventory
- Maintains adequate inventory on hand during inventory count
- Ensures that par location in the Linen Management system is accurate
- Inventory linen as scheduled with handheld computer. Download data to Linen Management System to obtain linen to be provided to each area
- Pull required stock from linen room and deliver stock to nursing units. Ensure that all requests are filled accurately
- Review actual line usage in each linen storage location and report all changes to Distribution Coordinator
- Performs scheduled pick up of soiled linen as assigned.
